is recruiting a proactive resource to join the Supply Chain Department in Milan as
Supply Chain Operations Specialist
.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Main Purpose of the role is assisting the Head Of Supply Chain in monitoring all the activities of the Supply Chain Dept through the use of an operational calendar, supervising the other resources' activities, specifically as follows:
Interfacing with team members to request updates on the progress of activities and supporting, where possible, the resolution of possible operational issues
Periodically verifying the accuracy of purchasing conditions with vendors and suppliers of raw materials based on the guidelines provided by the Manager
Supporting the management of supply contracts and the verification of correct procurement conditions
Together with the Costing team, assisting the Manager in defining a cost management structure that takes into account the short- and medium-term objectives of the company, based on the guidelines from the costing team Supervisor and the IT Country Manager
Overseeing the correct execution of the methods defined during the development of seasonal collections
For the team, serving as the point of reference for collecting and coordinating improvement requests regarding procurement processes applied to the available systems
Assisting the Manager in managing and coordinating special projects related to team
Supporting the Manager in daily activities, keeping track of priorities and any issues that may arise, managing the delegations that will be given from time to time
Criteria
Bachelor's or Master's degree in economics or management engineering or supply chain management;
fluent in both english and italian languages (mandatory);
knowledge of computer operating systems and Office package (proficient in Excel, prior knowledge of SAP is certainly a plus);
ability to work as part of a team in an evolving environment;
3 to 5 years of previous work experience in similar roles, if possible gained in international fashion luxury companies supply chain area;
strong knowledge of production supply chain processes.
